Reloaded team mentored by Rodel Molina and one-time perfect 300 holder Ely Fanugao displayed their separate sterling performances to romp home with the Team and Bowler of the Week Awards on the 22nd week of the Almarai Saturday Bowling League, 10th Conference.
The league is sponsored by Almarai Company and organized by the Filipino Bowling Group of Riyadh (FBGR). The games are held at the Universal Bowling Center (UBC).
The Royal Archers blanked the Bowling Buddies in straight four games 22–0 to claim the Team of the Week Awards. The awesome performances of Doy del Moral, Nap Torres and Hani Al-Nasleh lifted Royal Archer to claim the awards. Del Moral hammered a towering four-game series scratch of 866 on lines of 238, 212, 227 and 173. Likewise, lefty Nap Torres and promising Al-Nasleh fired separate series of 852 and 849, respectively. Torres downed 196, 210, 223 and 223 while Al-Nasleh seled 203, 210, 205 and 159. Fellow Buddy Balisi and Fathi Abood Abdulaziz supported Royal Archer by contributing series of 782 and 746.
Posting the best output in the Bowling Buddies team, composed mostly of newcomer players, was Dennis Serano with 735 points. Next was the duo of Angelo Train and Zeus dela Cruz who scored separate series of 684 and 678. Yusof Fernandez collected 522 series in three games.
Meron Na! nipped Alinma 16-13 and saw the deadly duo of Ric Urrutia Jr. and Sonny Alviso sizzle to lead in Meron Na! by tallying 867 and 866 points, respectively. Shakur Kamlian and Joe Rafael downed 866 and 778. Ruben Tan and Jerry Damiray contributed 576 and 376.
Week's best bowler awardees, Ely Fanugao colored the lanes red to post a towering 911 series scratch to topscore for Alinma. Next to him were Jojo de Silva (839), Jess Ambon (741), Bernie Torres (615), Abdulrahman Ahmed (537) and Jerry Barce (380).
In another fashion, Itqan Bees consisting of top caliber players proved too strong to humble the defending champion, the Eraserheads, 20-10. The brilliant game displayed by titlist Arnold Jesena together with HRH MS, Ric Singson and Johnny de Asis powred Itqan Bees to post victory against Eraserheads. Jesena led in Itqan Bees by hitting a towering 886 series scratch. Jesena had on lines of 224, 220, 177 and a game high of 277. HRS MS followed Jesena by knocking down 858 series while coming-in next to HRH MS was Singson with 851 series. De Asis had 810 points to follow Singson. Southpaw Jun Bantug added 729 points.
Ronald Bautista burned the lanes to topscore in the Eraserheads by producing a four-game series scratch 855 (239, 189, 215, 212). Edwin Atienza seared the lanes by tallying a series scratch of 830. Benito Santos and Andro Tismo shared separate series of 445 and 438, while Bobby Jamora and Jojo Gabriel scored 371 and 357. Eraserheads team is managed and mentored by Armin Isles.
SABB Advances rolled past MV Mixers 17-7 at the expense of Ahmed Al-Qarqoush, Jojo Paciano, Yasser Mohamed, Ricky Talde, Leo Mabunga and Mike Ecalnir. Al-Qarqoush was on top in SABB Advance by posting 847 points. Paciano and Yasser toppled separate series of 837 and 833 to follow Al-Qarqoush. Talde and Mabunga shared separate series of 830 and 508, while Ecalnir had 255 in one game. Leading scorers in the MV Mixers was Rocky Manipon with 800 points and he was followed by Chito Llagas (775), Edgar Buenaventura (774), Ric Ventura (721) and Benny Mondoy (55). Larry Mondoy had 182 in one game.
Other results: Itqan Aces beat Alsalam Strike Force 17-10; Itqan Eagles beat FAB & Cool 17-1; Nadec Strokers beat Boiling Point 15-12; and Almarai Company beat FBGR Selection 11
