Japanese shares climbed Wednesday for the first rise in five trading sessions as market sentiment was buoyed by robust corporate earnings reports in the United States. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 92.97 points, or 0.98 per cent, to end at 9,561.01 while the broader Topix index was up 5.55 points, or 0.69 per cent, at 809.49, according to a report of DPA.
