Japanese shares climbed Tuesday lifted by gains on other Asian markets and as investors picked up stocks after their recent drop, DPA reported. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 31.91 points, or 0.38 per cent, to end at 8,422.26 after falling 1.16 per cent Friday. The broader Topix index was up 2.33 points, or 0.32 per cent, at 731.93.
