Japanese stocks climbed Monday morning as investor sentiment was lifted by the easing of the yen against the dollar and an unexpected drop in the US unemployment rate. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 0.43 per cent, or 37.03 points, to trade at 8,680.78 by the end of the morning session at 11:30 am (0230 GMT). The broader Topix index was up 0.4 per cent, or 2.98 points, at 747.12, DPA reported.
