Japanese stocks climbed nearly One per cent Tuesday as export-oriented issues were buoyed by the yen's moderation and a late-session rally on Wall Street. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average gained 80.88 points, or 0.95 per cent, to 8,616.55 after plunging 2.3 per cent on Monday to the lowest since April 2009. The broader-based Topix index was up 8.56 points, or 1.15 per cent, at 749.82, according to a report of the German Press Agency "DPA".
