Japanese stocks were mixed Tuesday as investors sold their shares to lock in immediate profits after recent gains, but some issues advanced as other Asian markets climbed. The benchmark Nikkei 225 Stock Average lost 11.68 points, or 0.13 per cent, to end at 8,917.52 after rising 1.1 per cent Monday. The broader Topix index was up 2.92 points, or 0.38 per cent, at 772.77, according to a report of DPA.
