RIYADH — The Saudi Ministry of Interior warned that a hefty fine amounting to a maximum SR100,000 will be imposed on Hajj and Umrah service providing companies and establishments in the event of their failure to report the departure of any Hajj and Umrah pilgrim before the expiry of their visas. The fines will be multiplied with the number of Hajj and Umrah pilgrims who overstay their visas. Saudi Arabia recently announced that fines will be slapped on Hajj and Umrah service providing companies and establishments if they fail to notify the competent authorities about any pilgrims, who fail to leave the Kingdom before the expiry of their Hajj and Umrah visas. At the same time, the Ministry of Interior indicated that the fines can reach up to SR100,000. The ministry stressed the importance of Hajj and Umrah service providing companies and establishments to adhere to the Hajj and Umrah regulations and instructions issued by the competent authorities.
