Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Professor Ekmeleddin Ihsanoglu strongly has denounced the Israeli occupation government's approval of building 650 new settlement units and to construct a way to interlink settlements in the occupied Al-Quds. In a press release here today, the OIC Secretary General called on the Quartet and the UN Security Council to assume their responsibilities and adopt a critical stance puts an end to these provocative actions and illegal practices in all the occupied Palestinian territory, particularly in Al-Quds. He also reaffirmed that the policy of Israeli settlement aims at isolating Al-Quds city of its Palestinian surroundings and changing its geographic status, a matter which constitutes a flagrant violation of the international law and United Nations resolutions. -- SPA
