Saudi Minister of Finance Signs Agreement to Fund Power Plant in Syria

Awwal 02, 1432 H/April 06, 2011, SPA -- Minister of Finance Dr. Ibrahim bin Abdulaziz Al-Assaf co-signed with his Syrian counterpart in the care taking government Dr. Mohammed Al-Hussein here today an agreement of SR 370 million development loan provided by the Saudi Development Fund (SDF) as a contribution to finance a project to build a power plant in the Syrian Deer Al-Zur governorate.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA) following the signing ceremony, Dr. Al-Assaf who is currently on a visit to the Arab Republic of Syria said that this project took place within the context of the directives of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and Syrian President Bashar Al-Assad to raise the level of bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries.
