Awwal 29, 1432 H/March 4, 2011, SPA -- Minister of Culture and Information Dr. Abdulaziz bin Mohieddin Khoja expressed pleasure at the success of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz's International Award for Translation in attracting big cultural and scientific establishments and foundations and showing keenness to nominate the best of translated works in humane and applied sciences to compete for the Award. He emphasized that this success embodies the world community's appreciation for the initiatives of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques on dialogue among civilizations in order to foster values of peace and co-existence among different nations. In a statement to mark the occasion of announcing the winners of the 4th round of the Award which takes place in Riyadh tomorrow, Dr. Khoja said that attaching the Award to the name of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques has consolidated the award's recognition and appreciation as a great cultural and scientific project. He said the award is yet another mechanism and means for opening doors of dialogue and knowledge and cultural communication among the Arab Islamic civilization on one hand and different world civilizations on the other within the framework of a firm belief of the Saudi prudent leadership in the importance of dialogue with others, openness to meet them, sharing human values, and closing the doors before pretexts for civilizational struggle or confrontation which was proved false in history. --More
