AlQa'dah 10, 1432, Oct 8, 2011, SPA - The Secretary General of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz International Award for Translation, Dr. Said Al-Said, has pointed out that during the last four sessions of the Award, as many as 462 works have been submitted in the five areas of the award, including 96 works in more than 15 languages ??representing 23 countries from all over the world which competed to win the award in its 4th session for the year 2010. In a statement on the occasion of the handing-over ceremony to the winners of the Award currently in progress in Beijing, Dr Al-Said has pointed out that the great attention being given to the Award by intellectuals, thinkers, and scientific institutions from all over the world reflects their appreciation for the efforts of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia under the leadership of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz in the service of humanity, and also reflects the appreciation of the international community for the King's initiatives for the establishment of mechanisms for dialogue among civilizations and cultures. He also appreciated continued follow-up of all the works of the Award by Prince Abdulaziz bin Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Member of the Board of Directors of the Library, and the Chairman of the Award's Board of Trustees.
