Dhabi, Safar 14, 1432, Jan 18, 2011, SPA -- The Second Extraordinary Conference for the Parliamentary Union of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), hosted by the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates, is set to kick off in Abu-Dhabi on Wednesday. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, will take part in the meeting. Tomorrow's meeting is scheduled to discuss a number of reports and issues of concern to the Islamic world politically, economically and parliamentarily. On the other hand, the 13th session of union's council has concluded in Abu-Dhabi today. Abu-Dhabi Declaration, which was issued by the council, rendered support for the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud for setting up an international center for combating terrorism under the umbrella of the United Nations. The conferees also denounced terror phenomenon in all its forms, confirming its contradiction to the principles and instructions of Islam which calls for tolerance and mercy and rejection of violence and aggression, particularly the practice of killing somebody regardless of his/her color, faith and race.
