President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda opened the two-day sixth session of the Parliamentary Union of OIC Member States ( PUIC) with about 30 Islamic delegations attending the meeting. The Saudi delegation to the meeting is led by Speaker of Shura Council, Dr. Abdullah bin Muhammad bin Ibrahim Al Alsheikh. Meanwhile, the Egyptian People's Council Speaker and outgoing rotational head of the Union, Ahmad Fathi Sorur called on the PUIC to pursue procedures that would set a moderate vision of Islam, combating radicalism and terrorism which are distorting the image of Islam. -- SPA
