Dhabi, Safar 13, 1432, Jan 17, 2011, SPA -- The heads of Shura Councils, National Assemblies and Houses of Representatives of the member countries of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) held a coordinatroy meeting here today on the fringes of the second extraordinary conference for the parliamentary union of the member countries of the Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC), hosted by the Federal National Council of the United Arab Emirates scheduled for Abu-Dhabi on Wednesday. Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim, Speaker of the Shura Council of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, took part in the meeting. During the meeting, agenda of the Wednesday's meeting were reviewed with the aim to forge an unified stance for the GCC group. On the other hand, a similar meeting was held by the Arab parliamentary group in the OIC parliamentary union. Dr. Al Al-Sheikh also participated in that meeting. The OIC parliamentary union's members are scheduled to hold a meeting tomorrow in Abdul-Dhabi to discuss a number of reports and bills, elect the chairman of the 14th session and draft Abu-Dhabi Declaration as well as the communiqué of the 13th current session.
