An earthquake measuring 6.5 on the Richter scale struck off eastern Indonesia on Sunday, but there were no immediate reports of damage, the geophysics agency said. The quake occurred at 2112 local time (0012 GMT) with the epicentre 138 northeast of Tual in the Maluku islands at a depth of 59 kilometres, dpa quoted the National Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency as saying. There was no tsunami threat, the agency said.
