An earthquake measuring 6.2 on the Richter scale rocked Indonesia"s Papua region early Thursday, but there were no immediate reports of damage or casualties, dpa quoted the meteorology office as saying. The quake struck just after midnight, with the epicentre 78 kilometres northwest of the coastal town of Manokwari, according to the Meteorology, Geophysics and Climatology Agency. The quake had a depth of 26 kilometres and no tsunami warning was issued.
