Arab Social Committee, an affiliate of the Arab Economic and Social Council, began deliberations of its 86th session here today under the chairmanship of Hamad bin Jabr al Mahrouqi, Director General of the Service Sectors at Oman's National Economy Ministry. The committee's meeting comes within the preparation for the 86th session of the Arab Economic and Social Council at the ministerial level, due to be held at the end of this month, according to a report of the Oman's News Agency (ONA). The committee will discuss a number of items that cover following up the implementation of decisions of the Council's previous meeting, the social sector activity which falls between the Council's previous and current meeting, as well as, following up the implementation of the Arab Economic and Social Summit decisions which was held in Kuwait. The committee will also discuss the integrated programme to support employment, reducing the phenomenon of job search in the Arab States, supporting the social projects of the Palestinian Social Development Ministry, amending the Statute of the Arab Health Ministers' Council and other topics.
