British Foreign Secretary William Hague has congratulated Muslims throughout the world on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. In a message distributed by the British foreign office, Hague said 'I as a British politician is fully aware of the great contributions made by several Muslims in Britain in various domains of life in our society, and we wish to see more contributions from them in the future too'. "Ramadan embodies great values including mercy and doing good things," he added.
