Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL) has congratulated the Muslims throughout the world on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan. In a message delivered by MWL's secretary general Dr Abdullah al-Turki today, the MWL urged the Muslims to adhere to the teachings of Islam. He noted that in the blessed month of Ramadan Allah Almighty sent his Holy Book, the Quran, to guide the believers to the proper way. It is the duty of the Muslims to take into consideration this great bounty bestowed by Allah almighty on them, he said. Dr al-Turki pointed out that the blessed month of Ramadan provides a good opportunity to the Muslims to correct mistakes and tackle deviated practices which have defamed the Muslims. He noted that the mankind is in need of the principles of Islam which advocates justice, peace and cooperation. He congratulated the Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz and his Crown Prince as well as Muslims leaders on the occasion of the advent of the blessed month of Ramadan.
