An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale shook Kupang, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) Province, on Tuesday at 7.25 a.m. Western Indonesian Standard Time (WIB). The quake's epicenter was located 9.38 degrees southern latitude, 123.45 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 88 kilometers, around 88 km northwest of Kupang, according to information of the national meteorological, climatology and geophysics office. The temblor did not have potential to trigger a tsunami, according to ANTARA.
