A moderate earthquake measuring 5.2 on the Richter scale jolted East Nusa Tenggara (NTT) at 2.45 am on Monday, ANTARA quoted the Meteorological and Geophysics (BMG) office as saying today. The BMG said the earthquake whose epicenter was recorded at a depth of 53 km below the sea level had no potential to create a tsunami. The epicenter is located at coordinate of 9.44 degrees southern latitude and 124.08 degrees eastern longitude. The BMG said it was about 98 km northeast of Kupang, provincial capital of NTT, 192 km northwest of Dili, Timor Leste, 278 km southeast of Ende, Ntt, 411 km southeast of Retung, NTT and 425 km northeast of Waingapu, NTT.
