An earthquake measuring 5 on the Richter Scale jolted Meulaboh, Nanggroe Aceh Darussalam Province, on Wednesday at around 3 am local time. The quake`s epicenter was located 3.73 degrees northern latitude and 95.95 degrees eastern longitude, at a depth of 14 km below sea level and around 49 km southwest of Meulaboh, according to information on the official website of the Meteorological, Climatology and Geophysics agency. The temblor did not have potential to trigger a subsequent tsunami, the agency said. On Monday (Dec 13), a magnitude-5.7 earthquake shook Labuhanbajo, East Nusa Tenggara, ANTARA news agency reported.
