Britain's military says one of its soldiers has died after being wounded by an explosion in Helmand Province in Afghanistan. The Defense Ministry says the soldier from the 3 Rifles unit was wounded Friday morning. The soldier has not been identified. Officials say he was on a foot patrol near Patrol Base Blenheim when he was hit, according to a report of The Associated Press. Officials say his family has been notified. More than 265 British military personnel have been killed since the start of the war in Afghanistan in October 2001.
