Istiska (Rain-Seeking) prayers were performed throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday morning in pursuant of the Prophet"s Sunnah (Tradition) in case of drought and late rains. Muslims prayed to Allah Almighty for rain-fall. The prayers were performed in universities and schools in various regions of the Kingdom. Prayers were performed in the Holy Grand Mosque. The prayers were attended by Prince Khalid Al-Faisal bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah Region and President General for the Holy Grand Mosque and the Prophet"s Mosque Affairs Sheikh Saleh bin Abdulrahman Al-Hussein. Prayers were also performed in the Prophet"s Mosque in Madinah. The prayers were attended by Prince Abdulaziz bin Majed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Madinah Region. In Riyadh city, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz, the Acting Governor of Riyadh region attended prayers led by Sheikh Abdulaziz bin Abdullah Al Al-Sheikh, the Kingdom"s Grand Mufti and Chairman of Scholars Council and Scholarly Research and Ifta Department. --SP
