Twenty-five have suffered in an explosion at a pyrotechnic warehouse in Voronezh on Wednesday. One of the victims died, Itar-Tass quoted a regional department of the Ministry for Emergency Situations as saying. Preliminary reports said five servicemen from a military unit neighboring the warehouse are among the victims; fragments of broken window glass and collapsing building walls presumably injured the servicemen. Nineteen have been hospitalized. Four of them are being treated at an intensive care unit. Two victims are in grave condition. The news about the fire in the warehouse with an overall floor space of 150 square meters was broken shortly after noon Wednesday. The explosion smashed out window glass in a neighboring five-storied apartment block. Fire brigades and rescuers of the Emergencies Ministry have been removing the debris from the site of the explosion.
