The Russian Defence Ministry does not confirm yet that the debris of the Su-27 fighter, which probably crashed in Russia's Far East, have been found, Itar-Tass reported. “The rescuers of the Far Eastern Air Force and Air Defence formation have presumably found the crash site of the Su-27 fighter at 02.30 a.m. Moscow time on Friday, 20 kilometers away from the airfield Zemgi (30 kilometers from Komsomolsk-on-Amur),” spokesman for the Russian Defence Ministry Alexei Kuznetsov said. “The crash site is a hole about ten meters long and about five meters wide. A group of 12 servicemen was posted in the area to prepare a landing site for helicopters. Off-road vehicles and other vehicles are fighting the way to the crash site. The pilot and the fighter debris have not been found yet,” Kuznetsov said. The debris of the Su-27 fighter, which crashed during a training flight on Thursday, were found about 20 kilometers away from Komsomolsk-on-Amur, the Far Eastern Air Force and Air Defence formation reported in the small hours on Friday. The search teams of the Defence Ministry and the Air Force landed at the aircraft's crash site.
