Presided over by its vice-Chairman Dr. Bandar bin Mohammed Hajjar, the Shoura Council held today its 34th session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said that the Council approved by majority vote the annual report of the Saudi Arabian Agriculture Bank for the fiscal year 1426/1427H. After closely reviewing the report, the council recommend the following: 1) all annual reports must be prepared in compliance with Article 29 of Cabinet System. 2) the bank must submit reports of all its final accounts. Dr. Al Ghamdi added that the Council also approved by majority vote the annual report of the Saline Water Conversion Corporation for the fiscal year 1427/1428H. After closely reviewing the report, the council recommended that a number of requirements must be met including enhancing the operating capacity of SWCC's co-generation for water and electricity. The council also stressed the importance of finishing the water pipes project. He added that the Council also took a majority vote in favor of the annual report of the Saudi Commission for Medical Specializations for the fiscal year 1427/1428H recommending the following: 1) all annual reports must be provided in compliance with Article 29 of Cabinet System. 2) the annual budget must be increased in proportion to the increased number of graduate students. 3) SCMS must take charge of medical training in the private sector. Al Ghamdi also said that the council approved by majority vote the draft for the GCC's Criminal Center basic law for drugs prevention.
