Presided over by its Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Asheikh, the Shoura Council held today its 17th session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said that the Council completed discussions of the report proposed by the Committee for Management and Human Resources and Petitions. The Council agreed that it be held for further discussions during its next session. He added that the Council also discussed the amendment of Phrase (6) of the Civil and Military Retirement Systems and Social Insurance System taking a majority vote in favor of it. Dr. Al Ghamdi said that the Council also approved by majority vote the exemption of banks from Article (1) of Companies Law. He added that the Council discussed the draft for the National Commission for Academic Evaluation agreeing that it be held for further discussions during its next session.
