Presided over by its Chairman Dr. Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Ibrahim Al Asheikh, the Shoura Council held today its 16th session. In a statement to the Saudi Press Agency (SPA), the Council's Secretary General Dr. Mohammed bin Abdullah Al Ghamdi said that the Council completed discussions of the Housemaids Recruitment Law and ordered it be held for further discussions. The Council also approved by majority vote the agreement of military cooperation between the Kingdom and Russia. He added that the Council also discussed the annual reports of King Faisal Specialist Hospital and Researcher Center for the fiscal years 1425/1426H, 1426/1427H, 1427/1428H. The Council also approved the hospital's fellowships programs and recommended that the hospital set up a national center for the referral of health cases. He also said that the Council discussed the annual report of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for the fiscal year 1427/1428H taking a majority vote in favor of it. On the same matter, the Council recommended that the Ministry's reports be more detailed in terms of the Kingdom's stance on the region's issues, counter-terrorism procedures as well as the Kingdom's relations with countries across the world. The Council also recommended that the Ministry work more on enhancing the Kingdom's political relations with African countries. The Council also expressed its support for the Ministry's efforts in filling positions in the various international organizations. Dr. Al Ghamdi added that the Council also approved by majority vote the report proposed by the Committee for Economic Affairs and Power on privatization system. He said that the Council also discussed the report proposed by the Committee for Management and Human Resources and Petitions recommending that it be held for further discussions during its next session.
