The Russian Interior Ministry's branch in the province of Dagestan said three police officers were wounded Friday when their vehicle hit a radio-controlled landmine laid by the rebels on the outskirts of the provincial capital, Makhachkala. The Interior Ministry's branch for Chechnya said that a police officer and a civilian were wounded Saturday by an explosive device left by the rebels at a construction site.
