Floods hitting Majalaya, Baleendah and Dayeuhkolot sub districts, southern Bandung, have spread to wider areas, ANTARA reported. "Citarum River has overflowed and it gets higher. The floods have expanded over the past week," Umar, a resident of Baleendah, said here on Thursday. The floodwaters reaching a height of between 50 cm and one meter, have submerged a number of houses, school buildings and mosques in the sub districts. Despite the flooding, the local inhabitants decided not to flee their homes, but they have only evacuated their vehicles to unflooded grounds. Indonesia is currently experiencing rainy season, which has caused floods in several provinces such as East Kalimantan, West Java and Aceh.
