Dr Abdullah al-Turki, the secretary general of the Muslim World League (MWL), met here yesterday representatives of the Spanish media. Speaking on the occasion, he urged the media to shoulder its responsibility towards narrowing the gap among the nations for tackling the problems facing the mankind. He noted that the conference is an information and cultural way for encouraging followers of religions and human cultures to jointly work for confronting common challenges. Dr al-Turki said the MWL has named Spain for convening the world conference on dialogue in its territories in recognition of the Spanish cultural importance. He made it clear that the conference will not discus any religious problem, but it will focus on setting a program which will authenticate the concept of international dialogue. Dr al-Turki shed light on the experience of the MWL in the field of dialogue, and said the MWL is keen on authentication of dialogue so as to guarantee its success and effectiveness. --more
