Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz, the Interior Minister, has affirmed that media is still short of serving the cause of Arab security, despite the fact that the Arab Ministers of Interior and Information had agreed to coordinate and cooperate for confronting the negative phenomena. Addressing a press conference here last night after patronizing a graduation ceremony at Naif Arab University for Security Sciences, he said the duty of the media is to present and disclose facts, adding that it is hoped that the media men will work to reach and present facts to the public opinion. On the role of the Saudi media as regards tackling the terror problems, he said "What I have said in general about the media is applicable for the Saudi media too. Whenever an event takes place, even if it is a small one like a collision, it is widely covered and it may be published on the front page, but when there is a positive act it is published in the internal pages and might appear only without a comment." --MORE
