Foreign Ministry stops accepting paper power of attorney for issuing visas

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs will stop accepting all paper powers of attorney and will approve electronic power of attorney as a document for issuing visas from Saudi embassies abroad as of 01/06/1429H.
Prince Khalid bin Saud bin Khalid, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, said that this measure aims to address the phenomenon of trafficking in visas and falsifying their powers of attorney in addition to protect the rights of visa holders.
In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Prince Khalid said that chambers of commerce and industry as well as recruitment offices in the Kingdom know the mechanisms for applying this new procedure.
