Ministry of Agriculture has issued a circular to animal and agricultural quarantines to ban the Kingdom's exports of vegetable products planted in open areas affiliated to the Ministry in all Saudi land, sea and air ports as of 01/11/1433 H corresponding to September 17, 2012. The circular was issued by the Ministry based on the Cabinet's decision no 335 dated 1428 H corresponding to 2007 aiming to the rationalization of water and its uses in agricultural fields all over the Kingdom. In a statement to Saudi Press Agency (SPA), Khalid bin Mohammed Al-Fihaid, Acting Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry for Livestock Affairs pointed out that the decision will be carried out within the prescribed period, especially that Council of Saudi Chambers was informed to circulate the ban directives to all employees in the field of vegetable production and trading. -- SPA
