King Abdullah calls for performing Istiska prayers

The Custodian of the two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz has called for performing Istiska (rain-seeking) prayers throughout the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on Monday, Jan 7, 2008, said a statement issued by the Royal Court.
Prophet Mohammed, peace be upon him, urged the Muslims to perform Istiska prayers in case of drought or delay of rainfall.
