An earthquake measuring 5.3 on the Richter scale rattled Timor Island on Wednesday but there was no immediate report of casualties or material damage, ANTARA reported. The epicenter of the quake which struck at 01.12 p.m. on Wednesday was located 93 km northeast of Kupang, capital of East Nusa Tenggara province, the Meteorology and Geophysics Agency (BMG) said in a report. Wednesday's quake did not have the potential of causing tsunami, the report said.
