An earthquake measuring 5.1 on the Richter scale hit East Nusa Tenggara province on Monday evening. The epicenter of the quake which struck at 04.51 western Indonesian time was in the sea 101 km northwest of Labuhanbajo town on the western tip of Flores island at a depth of 10 km, ANTARA quoted the Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) as saying in its official website. The quake did not have a potential to trigger a tsunami, it said.
