The Executive Committee of Health Ministerial Council, an affiliate of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), held today its 66th meeting at the headquarters of the GCC General Secretariat. Director General of the Committee Dr. Tawfiq Khoja pointed out that a number of topics were discussed during the first day of the meeting such as an electronic link-up among medical bodies; diabetes; primary health care; health scan and genetic diseases. The three-day meeting's agenda included also bird flu; smoking; nursing; mouth and teeth health, an integrated purchase policy for medical equipments. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman. -- SPA
