The Executive Bureau of the Council of the Health Ministers of the Arab Gulf Cooperation Council held here today their 62nd meeting. During its 3-day deliberations, the Bureau will review a project of electronic-health-grid linking data centers in the GCC states. It will also focus on studying ways of combating heart diseases, smoking, diabetes, cancer and other issues related to evidence-based health care. Dr Tawfiq Khoja, the Director General of the Executive Bureau, said the participants of the meeting will also review a study presented by a specialized information company for establishing a Gulf health channel under the supervision of the Council of the GCC Health Ministers. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
