AT LEAST 10 PEOPLE WERE KILLED AND 22 OTHERS INJURED WHEN A PRIVATE BUS ROLLED 100 METRES DOWN INTO A GORGE IN INDIA'S NORTHERN HIMACHAL PRADESH STATE, NEWS REPORTS SAID FRIDAY, ACCORDING TO DPA. THE ACCIDENT OCCURRED ON SHIMLA-BILASPUR HIGHWAY, IN GHANAHATTI, ABOUT 14 KILOMETRES FROM STATE CAPITAL SHIMLA. THE BUS WAS CARRYING ABOUT 40 PEOPLE TO SHIMLA FROM DHAMI, OFFICIAL SOURCES TOLD PTI NEWS AGENCY. SIX PASSENGERS DIED ON THE SPOT WHILE FOUR OTHERS SUCCUMBED TO THEIR INJURIES ON THE WAY TO THE INDIRA GANDHI MEDICAL COLLEGE HOSPITAL IN SHIMLA. REPORTS SAID 10 OF THE INJURED ADMITTED TO HOSPITAL WERE IN SERIOUS CONDITION. MOST OF THE VICTIMS WERE COMMUTERS.
