Dr Abdullah Al-Turki, the Secretary General of the Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL), has underlined the importance of the third extraordinary Islamic Summit, due to be held in Makkah on Wednesday. Dr Al-Turki said the call of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz for convening the Summit reflects the responsibility he has been shouldering towards the Muslim nation. He noted that the Muslim nation has been facing numerous challenges, affirming that the Muslims have no other way except to opt for the unity and integration of their ranks to confront these challenges. Dr Al-Turki expressed hope that the Summit would yield positive results.
