Prince Abdulmajeed bin Abdulaziz, the Governor of Makkah region, will patronize here on Saturday a conference on Civilizational and Cultural Dialogue, due to be organized by Makkah-based Muslim World League (MWL). Speaking on the occasion, Dr Abdullah Al-Turki, the MWL's Secretary General, underlined the importance of dialogue, and said it is an important way for enhancing coexistence among the nations and the settlement of disputes. He reiterated the keenness of the Muslim nation on conducting dialogue with others, and said the MWL hopes that the conference will positively contribute to enhancing understanding between the Muslims and the others, and closing ranks of people for confronting challenges facing the mankind, notably conflicts and the phenomenon of demoralization. Dr Al-Turki said the MWL had extended invitations to a number of Muslim scholars, thinkers and academicians to participate in the conference. 'It is hoped that the conference will yield positive results', he added.
