The General Secretariat of Organization of Islamic Conference (OIC) expressed its hope that the ratification of Iraqi constitution will lead to opening a new page in Iraq's history, strengthening democracy, speeding the set up of state institutions and prevailing of the law so that the Iraqi people enjoy security and stability. In a press statement, OIC Secretary General Prof. Ekmeleddin Ihsan Oglu stressed the Organization's readiness for supporting the Iraqi people to achieve success in the current political process and to build a future that meets their legitimate aspirations of unity, development, equality and sovereignty.
