The Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) is pursuing strenuous efforts to realize political stability in the Middle East and North Africa in order to find a way out of nascent economic crisis in the region through promoting governance, democracy, rule of law, human rights and tolerance, OIC Secretary General Ekmeleddin Ihsan oglu. Addressing a dinner held in Doha today on the sidelines of U.S.-Islamic World forum, Ihsan oglu pointed out that OIC is guided in action by its new charter and a decade-long working plan, approved in 2005, which cherishes wide-scale dialogue to bring about peace and political stability in OIC member states. -- SPA
