An official Source at Saudi Arabian Airlines said that after the pilot of Saudi Airlines Boing 747 plane, which was on the take-off runway in the airport in Colombo, Sri Lanka, on flight number 781 from Colombo-Riyadh-Jeddah, received a call that the plane was carrying a bomb, he immediately began procedures to evacuate the 424 passengers and 19 crew on board. After stopping the plane in the isolation area of emergencies according to instructions by airport officials, the pilot ordered emergency evacuation which led to the safe evacuation of all passengers except one woman who was injured and died later while being taken in an ambulance to hospital. Also, some passengers suffered minor injuries. All passengers were moved to a nearby hotel and a replacement plane was prepared to take them to Saudi Arabia later this day.
