In a press release, SAUDIA said the plane's captain was quick to summon the airport's fire squad when he noted the fire starting in engine No. 3. According to safety instructions, the crew have taken the necessary emergency measures in a record time, making it possible to safely evacuate all the 307 passengers on board within only two minutes, said the statement, noting that no passenger or crew were injured.
