Secretary General of The Arab Gulf Cooperation Council Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah has slammed the killing of Egyptian ambassador to Iraq, Ihab Al-Shareef, and said such a criminal act has nothing to do with Islam. In a statement issued today, Al-Atiyyah reiterated the support of the GCC states to Egypt and their determination on fighting terrorism. Al-Atiyyah condoled the Egyptian government and people as well as the families of the deceased. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
