THE FIRST MEETING FOR THE PROSECUTORS GENERAL AND HEADS OF INVESTIGATION COMMISSIONS IN MEMBER COUNTRIES OF THE ARAB GULF COOPERATION COUNCIL (GCC) BEGAN HERE TODAY. GCC SECRETARY GENERAL ABDULRAHMAN AL-ATIYYAH ATTENDED THE MEETING. SPEAKING ON THE OCCASION, AL-ATIYYAH SAID THE GCC HAS BEEN EXERTING EFFORTS AT THE REGIONAL AND INTERNATIONAL ARENAS TO COMBAT CRIMINAL ACTS INCLUDING CRIMES OF DRUGS-TRADING, MONEY- LAUNDERING, TERRORISM, HUMAN-SMUGGLING AND ILLEGAL TRADING OF WEAPONS. THE GCC IS MADE UP OF SAUDI ARABIA, THE UNITED ARAB EMIRATES, KUWAIT, QATAR, BAHRAIN AND OMAN.
