GCC Secretary General Abdulrahman Al-Atiyyah has deplored and condemned the blasts which took place in the resort town of Dahab that killed 23 people in Egypt on Monday evening. In a statement here today, Al-Atiyyah reiterated the solidarity of the GCC states with the Egyptian government and their support to the measures that might be undertaken by the Egyptian authorities to confront terror acts. "The GCC states do oppose all forms of extremism and violence', he said expressing condolences to the Egyptian government and families of victims of the blast incidents. The GCC is made up of Saudi Arabia, The United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Qatar, Bahrain and Oman.
